Part of my workout schedule calls for 1-2 days of cross training. I was planning on going to spin class after work, but a few of my favorite girls at work have been raving about this new "bar method" class. I've been dying to try it, and was brave/stupid enough to let this be my first day.
Have you ever tried this or know anyone who does it??? Here's a basic overview. I had no idea what I was getting myself in to.
The Bar Method™workout creates a uniquely lean, firm, sculpted body by combining the muscle-shaping principles of isometrics, the body-elongating practice of dance conditioning, the science of physical therapy and the intense pace of interval training into a powerful exercise format that quickly and safely reshapes and elongates muscles.
The result is a noticeable “Bar Method” sculpted body featuring:
- Firm, elongated muscles
- Reduced body fat
- High muscle definition in the chest, upper arms and upper legs
- Improved posture
- Long, narrow thighs
- A lifted seat and defined hamstrings
- Strong, flat abdominals
- Increased stamina and energy
- Extended youthfulness
Here's what I hope it will make me look like:

My legs were still shaking at 5:00 pm today... talk about a crazy workout!! I'm buying a class package tomorrow and plan on going once a week. I felt it in the areas that I don't really exercise but need to {aka: arms, abs, and booty} and was a great little mid-day break. Thanks Amy and Dana for introducing me!
Incase you Texas folks want to check it out, they have locations in Dallas, Houston, and Austin! I dare you.
Heading to bed.... happy Friday eve!
