Go shorty... it's my birthweek

Thank you for all of the birthday wishes guys! It was fun reading all of the messages. I know I always feel anxiety when I go to write a birthday post. I think to myself... should I write the generic bday message, or should I go for the "have a great day" or "may all your wishes come true" aspect? Or should I reference an inside joke from 10 years ago that they may or may not remember? Or should I not say anything at all? Am I the only weirdo that over-thinks a birthday message on Facebook? So, if I ever write a happy birthday message on your wall, know that there was probably 5 minutes of deliberation that went into the post.

Anyhow, my birthweek has been pretty fabulous :) Yesterday I was treated to some Red Velvet cupcakes by my co-workers, and my friend Rachel got me a puppy!
Ok ok... a puppy card. But I named her Gracie and she sits on my desk.
Last night, Zeke made reservations for us and Kyle & Brittany at P Brennan's for a bourbon tasting dinner. It was really cool! I honestly didn't know much about Bourbn before last night. I actually though it was different that whiskey, but it's not. They poured about a 2 oz sample of each brand, then gave us one on the house, so by the end of the night we had about 10 oz of bourbon.

Owen was the host, he talked us through each one of the brands and told the history behind it, how it's made, and why it's different than the others. Pretty cool!

Errrrrbody in the restaurant gettin' tipsy

More? Yes please.
This was my favorite- Basil Hayden. It was really smooth & sweet. But then again, anything is good after 10 oz of it.

Britt got me a really cute necklace from Free People! I love it!!

That's a lot of empty glasses

Choclolate Bread Pudding for the birthday girl!

After dinner, we walked down the street for open mic night at LA Bar and grill, our neighborhood dive.

Classy joint- christmas lights year-round

Nuff said

They were actually really good!
And this is quite possibly the best bathroom sign I have ever seen. True story.
This weekend, Zeke has some fun surprises lined up, I'm excited :) We are off to dinner- enjoy your Friday!

Love,

28 year old Kate
